Content creators are always looking for digital equipment with updated technology and best features. Canon EOS R, with its enhanced features and elegant design, is a treat for vloggers and filmmakers.

You can cover your travel adventures and capture extraordinary pictures with this digital gadget. The weather-resistant feature of EOS R makes it a super favorite of travel lovers.

This camera is also equipped with a fully articulated touchscreen monitor that helps you control its settings more efficiently and capture yourself in the perfect frame.

Functions of Canon EOS R

The Canon EOS R is waterproof up to 70 ft. The camera body comprises a magnesium alloy chassis that protects it from heat extremes and electromagnetic radiation.

This Canon camera provides high-end image quality with a 30MP CMOS sensor and supports 4k Ultra-HD video format. This model includes an RF mount system for use with RF lenses.

However, it is also compatible with EF and EF-S lenses. We cannot miss the full-frame sensor size feature that serves best for the shallower depth of fields.

The electronic viewfinder, silent electronic shutter, and 3.15-inch flip-screen LCD are other note-worthy features of this Canon variant.

Travel Photography

Regarding travel photography, Canon EOS R is doing a decent job. The waterproof feature helps you capture underwater activities.

Furthermore, the image and video quality are pretty good, so you can have more realistic and long-lasting memories of your trip.

It has quick autofocus and works well in nighttime or low-light conditions. Overall, this device is reliable for every trip.

PROS

  • Excellent image quality.
  • Multiple lens options.

CONS

  • Single SD card slot.

Landscape Photography

With the 30MP CMOS sensor and many other note-worthy features, this camera has won the first slot in landscape photography.

Unlike many rival cameras, EOS R has a full-frame sensor that widens the angles of the camera, and you can take more accurate and commendable photos.

The image resolution, as described above, is also on point, so we recommend this device for landscape photography.

PROS

  • Good quality images even in dim light.
  • Selectable silent electronic shutter mode.
  • 30.3 MP image resolution.

CONS

  • Low battery life.

Vlogging

This Canon camera is suitable for vlogging and creating high-quality videos. The UHD 4K video quality is one of the great features for making vlogs.

The camera has a touch-sensitive and movable LCD screen for self-portraiture. However, poor IBIS (In-Body Image Stabilization) is the only drawback while vlogging.

PROS

  • Support external microphone.
  • Fully articulated LCD monitor.

CONS

  • Heavy to lift.

Sport & Wildlife Photography

For taking still shots, this camera is perfect, but it is not designed to take action or continuous shots. The image stabilization of the Canon EOS R is not up-to-par, and so is the continuous shooting speed.

Although it offers 12fps, when shooting consecutively with continuous AF, the speed slows to 5fps, further reducing it to 3fps with “Tracking Priority” AF mode.

PROS

  • High image and video quality.

CONS

  • Comparatively fewer supporting features for action shots.
