Nikon COOLPIX A300 was introduced in April of 2016. It has a 20.1MP CCD sensor, an 8x optical zoom range of 4.5-36mm, and a high-quality exterior in a slim, pocket-friendly package.

With an 8x optical zoom and 16x Dynamic Fine Zoom, it can cover a 25mm field of view and focus as close as 2cm from an object in macro mode.

The Nikon Coolpix A300's small and light size. With card and battery, it weighs 119g, making it lighter than many smartphones.

Its dimensions are similar to that of a small smartphone, but it is twice as thick and is simple to use.

Functions of Nikon Coolpix Digital Camera

The Nikon Coolpix A300 20 MP point and shoot Digital has the following function that helps you to make decisions when selecting a camera.

Travel Photography

This inexpensive compact is so small and light that you won't mind carrying it anywhere. It has a useful zoom and is very simple to use, with a 20mp CCD sensor, an 8x optical zoom lens, built-in Wi-Fi, and Bluetooth to transfer images to a smartphone.

Optical VR (Vibration Reduction) image stabilisation aids in providing a stable image at any zoom level. You can also shoot beautifully steady movie clips while walking with 4-Axis Hybrid VR.

PROS

  • It is slim and compact size
  • It has 20.1 effective megapixels that delivers high-resolution images
  • Built-in Bluetooth and Wi-Fi connectivity

CONS

  • There is little detail and a lot of noise.
  • The auto on/off flash feature is not included.

Landscape Photography

If you require a broad view, use landscape mode to combine multiple images into a single all-encompassing photograph. With the slim and stylish COOLPIX A300, you can take great photos on the go.

With its 8x optical/16x Dynamic Fine Zoom, it's small and light enough to fit in a pocket or bag and is always ready to shoot close-ups of friends and family.

Using Nikon SnapBridge, you'll capture shareable high-resolution photos that you can share with family and friends.

The camera is set to Scene Auto Selector mode by default, which allows the camera to detect scenarios and control the exposure settings. The Scene button is used to change the shooting mode.

PROS

  • The screen is that it is relatively bright
  • Easy to navigate menu
  • It has a scene auto selector mode by default.

CONS

  • Low-resolution LCD screen
  • Overall slow response.

Vlogging

Even with noise present, the A300 can produce punchy JPEG images in good light. Image quality suffers in low contrast lighting. It is a great digital camera for vlogging.

The camera records 720p video with mono sound and offers optical zoom while recording.

When you use the optical zoom while recording, the microphone picks up noise from the lens zoom mechanism. Although image stabilisation can help keep video steady, the results aren't great.

PROS

  • Optical zoom lens (8x)
  • Image stabilization via optical means
  • It has several outcomes
  • It is also very affordable

CONS

  • There are only a few manual control options.
  • 720p video without autofocus
  • A low-resolution LCD

Sport & Wildlife Photography

Spanning a wide-angle to telephoto reach, the NIKKOR 8x optical zoom lens covers a 25-200mm equivalent focal length range to benefit working in a wide variety of shooting conditions.

This reach can be extended even further to 16x with Dynamic Fine Zoom for working with distant subjects.

Benefiting this reach is Hybrid VR, which minimizes the appearance of camera shake by up to three stops to help realize sharp imagery.

PROS

  • It has 12 Glamour retouching effects to use on previously shot images.
  • An Auto Scene Selector
  • 8x optical zoom with Dynamic Fine Zoom

CONS

  • The screen is fixed, and its viewing angle is especially restricted when viewing from high or low angles.
  • Simply looking at the screen in playback mode makes it difficult to determine whether a picture is too bright or too dark.
