The Samsung NX Mini features a 20.5-megapixel 1-inch BSI CMOS sensor, which is common in advanced compact cameras.

In terms of image quality, the NX Mini did not disappoint. Images are captured by a 1-inch, 20.5 megapixel back-side illuminated CMOS sensor, and the camera can also record RAW files, Full HD 1080p video, and shoot at up to 6fps at full resolution.

The NX mini has a flip-up 3.0-inch touch-sensitive monitor to ensure maximum attention, so you won't have to guess your selfie compositions anymore.

Finally, there's advanced Wi-Fi connectivity with NFC pairing, as well as a free copy of Adobe Lightroom 5 to boost the competitive price for the camera and 9mm lens.

Samsung announced this digital rangefinder-style interchangeable lens mirrorless camera on March 19, 2014.

Functions of SAMSUNG NX Mini

This Samsung camera has amazing function that can you make a decision when buying a camera. Below are the functions in different categories.

Travel Photography

The Samsung NX mini's 22.5mm thickness means it should fit easily into most pockets or handbags. It is very convenient to have in your back pack while traveling.

It is perfect for travel photography, one of the best in its class. It take you to where the action is happening.

This compact & Durable Dust and moisture seals protect the magnesium alloy body from harsh conditions. This camera's portability and simplicity make it ideal for taking on vacations or other short trips.

With airline weight limits and the cost of checking extra bags, the last thing most people want to lug around on vacation is a bunch of heavy gear.

PROS

  • Excellent battery life
  • Affordable with the best price
  • Option for multiple touches

CONS

  • The absence of a front finger grip and the slick rear thumb rest.
  • Image stabilization is lacking

Landscape Photography

The NX Mini isn't a camera you'd buy for its focusing abilities, but the 21-point contrast detect AF system inside it does a good job in most situations.

The speed of focusing will be determined by the lighting conditions and the use of flash. It takes less than a second to focus in good light and more than a second in low light, so it's actually a pretty good performance for a compact camera.

Even if you use the NX lens adapter and an NX-mount lens, the focus will work fine, and it's always nice to see adapters that don't interfere with AF performance. Because it is a simple camera, there aren't many advanced AF modes.

PROS

  • It is simple to use
  • It has a flip screen which makes the easy to turn to different angles.

CONS

  • There is no such thing as a proper mode dial.

Vlogging

The NX Mini isn't a video recording powerhouse because it lacks advanced features like focus peaking, zebras, and a histogram.

You can at least manually adjust the exposure or change the focus point by tapping on the screen. There are no headphone or microphone jacks, either, so you'll have to rely on the integrated mono microphone for audio.

Fortunately, the image quality isn't bad, though we wish Samsung had included stereo microphones, as it's unusual to see a camera without them in this day and age.

The videos themselves can be recorded at 1080p resolution, 30 frames per second, and 15 megabits per second. The video quality is surprisingly good for such a small device.

PROS

  • It has an in-buit wifi.
  • Articulating Display

CONS

  • It is a 1-inch sensor size

Sport & Wildlife Photography

The Samsung NX MIni features 20.5-megapixel 1-inch BSI CMOS sensor, which is one step down from a full-frame sensor and does not disappoint.

For sport and wildlife photography, Samsung NX Mini produces exceptional image sharpness, fine detail, and noise-handling results.

The images are stunning whether shot in Jpeg or Raw. Details are sharp and crisp even in low light, with few visible sharpening artefacts. The contrast is also pleasing.

PROS

  • It has a nifty face detector.
  • Touch Screen
  • It has Max Video Resolution of 1080p

CONS

  • It has only a few physical controls
  • The lens options are also limited.
